About the tour

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Kimberley, this unique cultural experience invites guests to gather under the open sky and immerse themselves in the traditions of the Kupungarri Community. Hosted by the Donation family, the evening offers a rare opportunity to witness living culture in an authentic and welcoming setting.

Your experience begins with a heartfelt ‘Welcome to Country’ by the Ngarinyin people, offering a meaningful introduction to Country and its deep spiritual significance. From there, a respected Kupungarri Elder will guide the evening, sharing stories and insights behind each performance.
Be captivated by traditional dances performed by the children of the Kupungarri Community. Each dance tells a story - passed down through generations—bringing to life the rich history, beliefs, and connection to land that define this culture.

Held on the banks of the Mount Barnett River at Manning Gorge Campground, the setting itself is part of the experience. Surrounded by ancient rocky outcrops and whispering gums, the atmosphere is both powerful and serene - perfect for an evening of cultural sharing and reflection.
Guests are invited to bring their own chairs and settle in for a relaxed and memorable night beneath the Kimberley sky.
